Carrick Swan’s Intermediate footballers defeated Ballylooby/Castlegrace in their fourth game of the season last week.
Ballylooby led 0-07 to 0-05 at half time but the Swans were much improved in the second half and went on to win by one point. The Swan U-16s played lost to Commercials by eight points in the South Football Semi-Final last Thursday.
The Club’s Minor hurlers performed well against Abbeyside in a challenge game last Sunday in preparation for their upcoming championship.
Meanwhile, the Swan U-10s played Clonea in hurling on The Green last Wednesday while on Sunday they played Ballyeale/Grangemockler in a football match.
The Club congratulates the U-12 girls, who drew with Arravale Rovers in the semi-final of the shield last Wednesday in Tipperary Town.
The Carrick Swan Family Fun Camp takes place this Friday from 6pm to 8.30pm and on Saturday from 10am to 2pm. All adult players in the Club are encouraged to help out if available. Volunteers are requested to contact James Hawkins on (087) 6416451 with times they are available.
The Club wishes senior hurler Dale O’Hanlon a speedy recovery after his recent hand injury, which was sustained during the South Semi-Final.
The Club extends its sympathy to the Regan family, Faugheen and Grangemockler on their recent bereavement.
Numbers drawn in last week’s Juvenile Lotto were 1, 22, 23, 28.
The €2,250 jackpot prize wasn’t but four match three winners won €50 each.
