Sologhead underage GAA round up

Sologheads U14s got their hurling campaign off on winning note with two victories in the opening rounds of the League.

Sologheads U14s got their hurling campaign off on winning note with two victories in the opening rounds of the League.

First up was the visit of the Kickhams where we had to soak up a lot of pressure late in the game before finally emerging winners 2-2 to 0-6 and on Saturday last having trailed Rockwell Rovers by three points at the interval, turned it round with four second half goals to win 4-2 to 0-6.

With a further round of games yet to be played they have every opportunity of winning a place in the West Final.

Our U12 hurlers have also been busy but while a win has eluded them so far against Clonoulty/Rossmore and Arravale Rovers, they gave their best. In the next round they play the Kickhams, this Thursday in Sologhead at 6.45pm.
