It was the perfect way for the students to mark the end of six years of secondary school and to kick up their heels together as a class for the last time after receiving their long awaited Leaving Cert results.

The black tie ball took place on Tuesday, August 20 just six days after the results came out and the day after the equally anticipated CAO college offers were revealed. .

Sixty-seven Scoil Mhuire graduates dressed in colourful, elegant gowns and their smartly turned out partners gathered outside the school on the Pill Road to have photos taken before travelling the short distance to Clonmel for the function.

A crowd of family and friends gathered at the school to see the beautiful debutantes.

Clonmel Park Hotel was the venue for the debs ball. After a reception and meal, the young ladies and their guests danced the night away to the music of “The Waxies.”
