Davins GAA Club
Carrick Davins Minor hurlers were defeated by Skeheenarinky last Wednesday.
It was a game the team needed to win to have an easier path to the knock out stages. The Carrick side were eight points adrift at half time so they had an uphill battle in the second half. They lost by a single point and now face Clonmel Óg/Clerihan next Wednesday in Kilsheelan.
The U-16 hurlers beat Cahir last week, which qualified them for the South semi-finals.
Meanwhile, the Club congratulates Michael Whelan and Luke Faulkner on representing the Tipperary U-15 team in their respective competitions.
The U-12s will take to the field again this week to compete for the South premier games.
Training continues on the all-weather pitch on Tuesdays at 7pm for U-6s and U-8s and from 7pm to 8pm for U-10s and U-12s. These teams will train in the field on Thursdays from 7pm to 8pm.
People who have hurling helmets they no longer use are requested to donate or sell them to the Davins GAA Club.
Well done to Danny O’Hanlon and Kevin Lanigan of Carrick Swans, who were on the Tipperary Intermediate hurling panel that defeated Kilkenny in the All-Ireland last weekend.
