The Cashel branch of Amnesty International resume their monthly meetings on Monday, September 9, at 8.30pm in Mikey Ryan’s pub, Main St. Familiar and new faces very welcome.

Changing of the Guard

Sincere thanks and good wishes are extended to John Lalor, who retired on Sunday, August 31, after 20 years of dedicated and faithful service as principal of Rosegreen National School. We wish him a long, healthy and happy retirement. Congratulations to former staff member Maura Moloney Ryan, who has been appointed to take over. May her days as principal be many and fruitful.

Halla na Feile

Social Dancing in Halla na Feile on second and last Fridays of every month up to the end of the year, so make a note of this in your diary. The next Social Tea Dance is on Friday, September 13, when Peter Burke will make a welcome return to the Halla. Teas and sandwiches will be served, admission €8.

Dance Classes

Social Dancing Classes continue on Tuesdays with dancing from 8.30pm to 10.45pm. An extra half hour is added on at the end of the evening for those who like ‘ballroom’ for €5. These classes offer much enjoyment and are a great way to improve your fitness this Autumn.

Cashel RFC

Bingo every Wednesday night at 8.30pm in the Club House. This Wednesday, September 4, the snowball jackpot is €1,550 in 49 calls or less and lucky line jackpot is €900.
