A great day was had by all and there were lovely treats afterwards.

Tidy Towns will continue to meet to clear flower beds for the winter and store them for next year. Now that Halloween is barely over we turn our attention to preparations for Santa in the Dovecote. Yes, Santa will be in the Dovecote from 2pm to 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday the 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th of December and Mrs Claus will be with him as well as some elves.

The cost to visit Santa will be €5 and this will include a present. Also, to tie in with Santa we are offering the opportunity to the businesses of the town to get involved for these dates to offer discounts and special offers to try hold onto people visiting in the area. We will be issuing flyers with discount vouchers to all houses in town and surrounding areas as well as radio and newspaper adverts. It will be entirely free to advertise on this promotion as long as you have an offer. This is an opportunity for shopkeepers not to miss out on so contact Andy Moloney on 0863609110 if you want to be included as there will be someone around to take details next week. So there is no need to travel away from Cahir this Christmas to visit Santa.

Meet & Train

Meet & Train will have their night out on December 6 and due to the large numbers signed up we will have to go for a bigger venue than originally thought. We will continue to take deposits but a final figure of €25 has been put on the night which includes a four-course meal and mulled wine reception. There is another round of Zumba starting in November and booking must be done through Duneske. Fair play to all those competing in races and others training for half marathons. These lads have progressed from Operation Transformation and we wish them luck but we still have beginners walking/running and jogging every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7.30pm. Come along and meet new friends and enjoy a social night walking.

Operation Transformation

Operation Transformation was very successful last year and will go ahead again in the New Year. spread the word to those interested to give their names to Duneske. It will start the first week in January
