Spooktacular Halloween Camp!

Tipperary Regional Youth Service is holding a Spooktacular Halloween camp in the Cashel Neighbourhood Youth Project, Hogan Sq., Cashel from Tuesday , November 1, to Friday, November 4, from 10am to 4pm.

This camp is for young people attending second to sixth class in Cashel and the surrounding areas. During the week the young people will be participating in many fun activities such as arts and crafts, drama, cooking, face-painting , competitions, bingo, fancy dress disco, and much more. The camp costs €E30 and if there is more than one child in the family it’s €E30 for the first child and €E25 for each subsequent child.

Halla na Feile

Halla na Feile anniversary bingo takes place this Saturday, October 29, at 8.30 pm. Double money on all games and bingo books are at the usual price. The chairman, Sean Murphy paid tribute recently to all the many volunteers over the years who have made the bingo a great success. He had a special word too for the patrons and the bus drivers.

The regular Social Tea Dance will be held this Friday, October 28. Dancing from 9pm to 12am. Music by Dermot Lyons. Teas and sandwiches will be served and admission is €E8. Make a start to the Bank Holiday weekend and join us for an enjoyable evening. Proceeds, as with all our social dances, go towards the ‘New Halla na Feile Fund’.

Helena Rice Cup

Well done to Martina Ryan and Cora Horgan for progressing to the final in the Division 3 section of the Helena Rice Cup. Our ladies four team of Rosemary Maher, Mary Heffernan, Olivia Quinlan and Monica Slattery the latter feeling a bit sluggish also did our club proud even though they weren’t among the prize winnings they displayed some great tennis and enjoyed the day immensely.

Winter League

The winter league teams are now posted on the notice board. This league is slightly different with six on each team. All players are asked to keep note of their dates and times for the smooth running of this league.

Glow UV Party Fundraiser

Campion’s Bar annual fundraiser this year is a glow UV party in aid of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland (Cashel)

It takes place in the bar on OCtober 29, from 9pm with a DJ until late. Strictly over 18s. Free admission.

Date: 29th October 2011

A prize draw will be held on the night and prizes include a signed rugby jersey and a signed framed picture by Aidan O’Brien.

Tickets are available from Buckley’s Spar and Lion Print, as well as on the night.
