SPECIAL MASS SPECIAL DAY

In Mullinahone, it has been customary for a number of years that the last mass on St. Patrick’s Day (11.30 a.m.) will be said in Irish or “tri Gaeilge” if you have even “cupla focail”. The annual mass for deceased members of the C.J. Kickham’s GAA Club will also be said on Saturday next and this will also be at 11.30 a.m.

DAFFODIL DAY

The Irish Cancer Society Daffodil Day takes place on Friday, March 23. Daffodil Day merchandise will be available in local shops. Daffodil (silk) €E4, Daffodil (pin) €E3 and Daffodil (key ring) €E4.

FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

An adult (over 16) Football 7 A Side Tournament as a fundraiser for the Hospice Movement has been planned to take place in Mullinahone on Monday next (March 19). Upwards of 50 footballers will take part with six teams involved. An Exhibition Game between a Tipperary team and a Mullinahone (County Champions 2011 team) is also planned. Hopefully the continued progress of the C.J. Kickham’s footballers in the South Tipp Under 21 Championship wont impede the planned tournament which may also serve as a recruiting opportunity for a junior football team.
