TEMPLE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL AND ETHIOPIA AID
Nancy and David Walsh, Ballynamasna who organised Afternoon Tea and a Garden Walk at their home on Sunday, July 22, in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital and Ethiopia Aid wish to thank all those who supported the event and €620 was raised.

It is now three weeks to the Annual Vintage Day- August 26 and the last Sunday before the schools reopen. The Vintage Day will be held in Ballylooby Village by kind permission of J.J. and Eileen Myles. A fantastic day out for all the family!

Our neighboring Parish of Clogheen has an action packed festival from August 1 to 6. Knockmealdown Active will lead the Loop Walk on Saturday. (Details in Clogheen Notes)
The very popular show ‘Draiocht’ has returned to St Paul’s Community Hall again this year. The show includes music song and dance and can be seen this Friday, August 3, at St. Paul’s Clogheen. Doors open at 8.15pm. The show includes the Michael Ryan School of Dancing and much more. Children and young people from the surrounding parishes and beyond take part. A huge commitment by everybody involved and well worth a visit!

Congratulations to Brian Boru members Maureen Murphy and Claire Walsh who were part of the under 16 Tipperary Ladies Football who beat Waterford in the Munster Final in Cahir on Sunday.

The under 13’s played two games in the last two weeks and have now completed the under 13 league. They beat Knockavilla and Fethard and are now in the quarter final. Great credit is due to the team and management; the girls are improving more and more each game.
