ARDFINNAN GAA CLUB
Munster Leisure Spin
Our Annual 75 km Fun Cycle in conjunction with Barrettstown took place last Saturday, July 28. A very enjoyable day was had by all present and all the cyclists were very complementary towards the manner in which we ran this event again this year. Cycling has become very popular is recent years and it’s great to see so many people come out and raise funds for Ardfinnan GAA and Barrettstown Castle. A special thank you to all who organized and ran the cycle this year but a special mention to the Cyclists, the Civil Defense, the local motor cyclists, the local Gardaí, Roches Cycle shop Mitchelstown, all the ladies who helped out with the catering and the Cycling Sub Committee who spearheaded the cycle.

Summer Camp 2012
Our seventh annual Kellogg’s Cúl Camp took place at our club grounds at Castlekeale last week and this was one of the biggest camps that we ever organised with in excess of 100 boys and girls present. The weather was mixed and the sun struggled to come out early in the week, this however did not dampen the spirits of all those present who had a very enjoyable week of football and fun. Great credit to all the boys and girls who were so well behaved all week and helped make the camp a huge success. The standard of coaching was excellent and again thanks to our own John Cummins who was the coaching organiser. The Club would like to thank all involved in running the camp; a huge amount of work goes into organizing this week to ensure it runs so efficiently. Many thanks to those who volunteered throughout the week, without your help the camp could not be run in such an efficient manner.
