Carrick Swan’s minor and U-21 hurlers have two important South championship matches this weekend.

The minor team play Moyle Rovers in the South semi-final in Kilsheelan this Saturday (October 13) at 2pm.

And the Club’s U-21 hurlers will play Mullinahone in the South U-21 A hurling championship game in Cloneen at 5pm on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Carrick Swan U-10 hurlers played a South hurling blitz last Saturday in Kilsheelan. They played Cahir, St Mary’s, Moyle Rovers and Killenaule and won all their games. This capped a great year for this fine young team. The Club congratulates the full panel of players and their mentors.

They include Ryan Walsh, Adam Kerwick, Ben Rockett, Cian Robinson, James Bourke, Aaron O’Sullivan, Josh Delaney, Aidan Waters, Corey Ryan, Ben Mulcaire, Jamie Holloway, Mikey Donovan, Zach Murphy, Dylan Power, Jay Meagher, Nigel O’Keeffe, Cian Walsh, Darren O’Dwyer, Danny Murphy, Cian Dunphy, Taylor Hanlon, Glen Cooke, Conor Wells, Fionn Barry, Michael Fleming, Taylor Fleming, Sean Power, Caleb Shortiss-Day, Dylan Grace, Luke Butler, Danny Prout, Tim Treacy.

A number of U-13 hurlers attended South coaching trials last Sunday morning in Clonmel and these will continue for the next three Sundays. Any player unable to attend must notify a team mentor in advance.

Many of the underage teams have commenced an indoor training programme for autumn and winter months and new players are welcome to attend.

Contact any juvenile committee member for details of training times.

The Club also reminds those with some spare time on their hands that help is always appreciated with the large number of boys and girls playing gaelic games with the Club.

Numbers drawn in last week’s juvenile lotto were 8, 10, 11 and 16. The jackpot prize of €E5,000 wasn’t won and nine players matched three numbers to win €E30 each.

Carrick Swan Club thanks all who continue to play the lotto and reminds those who might like to join that weekly entry costs €E2.

This can be paid to any committee member, or to any lotto promoter who will call to collect each week.

This week’s jackpot prize is €E5,250. The public’s continued support helps the Club provide for all its juvenile players and is very much appreciated by all in the Club.
