GALBALLY NS CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Galbally National School will hold their Christmas concert on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 18 and 19, in the community centre at 7pm. All classes will perform individual plays featuring: The Nativity by the infants; The Legend of Santa Claus by first and second class; Back to the Summer by second and third class; Robbing Hood by fourth and fifth class; A Christmas Carol by fifth and sixth class.

The school band will play a selection of tunes. A good night’s entertainment is promised.

BINGO

There was a big crowd at Bingo in aid of Galbally Playground, in Galbally Community Centre on Wednesday, December 12. It was great to see new and familiar faces. Galbally Playground Committee would like to thank all who came and thanks to those who helped on the night. Congratulations to all who won money on the night.

Galbally Playground Committee would like to thank all who have supported their fundraisers throughout the year, and thanks to those who donated raffle items for our fundraisers. The next bingo game which will be in aid of Galbally Tidy Towns, in Galbally Community Centre on Wednesday, December 26, at 8.30pm. Jackpot of €300 must go on the night. Your support will be appreciated.

CHURCH NEWS

Christmas Collection envelopes are available in the church seats. This is your contribution to the annual church fund collection towards the salaries of the retired and active clergy in out diocese. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament takes place every Friday in both Parish churches. Galbally from 10am to 1pm and 6pm to 10pm. Lisvernane after 9.30am Mass until 11am. New adorers are always welcome.

GALBALLY BROWNIES AND GUIDES

Galbally Brownies and Guides would like to thank everyone who supported their church gate collection last weekend. GALBALLY SENIOR CITIZENS

Galbally Senior Citizens finished 2012 with their Christmas get-together on Tuesday, December 1. 12 children came from Galbally After Schools and entertained the group with Christmas Carols and Irish dancing. Santa arrived with presents for everyone, and also entertained the group with a sing along. The Senior Citizens themselves brought in lovely treats for tea including trifle, cakes, buns etc all home-made. Mary and Dave McCarthy played music. The Committee would like to thank everyone who helped in any way during the year especially Hospital Family Resource Centre for sourcing the funding for the get-togethers, day trips and Winter Break.
