Formed in 2009 a team was entered in the Tipperary South District League and was managed by Paul White and Derek McCarthy. The team entered and won several local blitzes. Success bred success and after yet another successful season in 2010/2011 more young players wanted an outlet to develop their skills so a new Under 8/9 team under the tutelage of Emmie Maher and Noel McCormack.
The U12s were now in the South Tipp. League and despite most of the team being more than a year underage they performed beyond expectations to play in the top four in the table play-offs while the U8s went from strength to strength winning many challenges and blitzes.
The first A.G.M. of the group took place last Friday night week. Elected as chairman was Paul White, Secretary, Noel McCormack, Treasurer, Emmie Maher and P.R.O. Neil Thompson. Victor Direen was elected member Secretary and Patricia Vaughan was elected Child Welfare Officer.
Two teams were entered in the TSDL. The U13 side sponsored by Crocanoir will be looked after by Noel McCormack (Manager) and Paul White (Coach). The U10-11 team will be managed by Kevin Ryan and coached by Emmie Maher. This season the club is again under pressure to form a new U8 team with several boys already geared up to be the next Irish star.
The club has several parents willing to help on a part time basis but they are looking for more help to take the kids on their soccer journey. If you can spare an hour or so on a Saturday morning at 10.30am drop in to see the enthusiasm displayed by 50 kids from U8 to U13. Please call Paul White on (087)4190867 if interested or drop into a session.

The number of young people who have emigrated from the parish to Australia in recent years shocked many of the listening congregation.
