The Ardfinnan Grange and Ballybacon Hospice Committee will hold their Annual Tractor Run on Sunday, May 19.


Prof John Ryan, a native of Carrigataha, Ardfinnan and international soil scientist will give a public talk in Ardfinnan Community Centre on Friday, March 8, at 8pm. Prof Ryan’s topic is ‘Syria: Its People, History,Culture and Conflict’. Professor Ryan was a senior researcher at the International Centre for Agriculture Research in the Dry Areas based in Aleppo, Syria. He holds two doctorates from UCD.


A special Mass will be held for Cllr. Michael Anglim on Friday, March 1, in Ardfinnan Church. This Mass will give the community a chance to recognise and show our appreciation for the years of service that Michael gave to the people of Ardfinnan and surrounding areas.


The club will be running Fantasy Cheltenham. Tickets from any committee member €20. Prize money to the highest placed person on final day. Club ties are available for E20. Contact any committee member.

U21’s have one game to play in the group stages of their championship having beaten Ballyporren in their first game.

Minors are playing county league at the moment, having one loss and one draw in their first two games, they have three more games to play in league.
