Rockwell Rovers GAA club players are holding a fundraising quiz in Ollie’s Bar, New Inn on Friday, March 8, at 8.30pm. Please keep this date free in your diary. Tickets are €10 or table of four - €40.

Tickets can be bought in advance from any of the senior RR players. Your support would be very much appreciated.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON WALK

Route: Woodenstown Duration: 1 hr 20 mins. Please assemble at car park opposite New Inn Church at 2pm this Sunday 3 March. Why not come and join us? Nothing too strenuous...Great way to get fit and to start the New Year. All are welcome.

NEW INN/ROSEGREEN BASKETBALL CLUB

The club travelled to Caherconlish, Co. Limerick for a Basketball blitz last Sunday. Our under 12s got off to a great start and won their first match against Morning Star, from Hospital, Co. Limerick. Their second game was against a very strong Middleton team where they lost after a good game. Our very young under 14 team with only two players over the age of 12, played two matches against Morning Star and Middleton, they competed very well but lost both games against older more experienced teams. Thanks to all the players and parents who travelled to support the teams.

KNOCKGRAFFON GRAVEYARD COMMITTEE

Annual general meeting takes place next Monday, March 4, at 8.30pm in Knockgraffon Old School House. All parishioners with family graves in Knockgraffon are requested to attend.

ROCKWELL ROVERS

Lotto Draw was held in The Rovers Inn, New Inn on Tuesday, February 19. The Lotto numbers were 4, 5, 7 and 15. There was no winner.

This week’s Lotto Jackpot of €4,600 was held in Barron’s Pub on Tuesday, February 26, at 9.30pm. Next week’s lotto to be held in Ollies Bar on Tuesday, March 5. Best of luck to all involved!

EASTER CAMP

Rockwell Rovers Juvenile club are running a football/hurling camp for U6s to U14s. €20 per child. Starts Tuesday, March 26, from 10am to 1pm for three days (Tuesday to Thursday, March 26 to 28) in the GAA field.

U8 FOOTBALL BLITZ

Well done to our U8s who competed at a blitz in Dr Morris Park, Thurles, last Saturday morning, February 23. Their opponents were Boherlahan, Aherlow and Mullinahone. Team: Oisin Cummins, Niamh Perry, Jack Moloney and Cian O’Sulliavan. Special thanks to Aherlow Club who helped us to compete.

Adult Football League Division 1 - Well done to the players who had a good win over Solohead last Friday evening in New Inn. Final score 4-19 to 2-03.

West Under 21 B Football Championship - Well done to Rockwell/Rosegreen who beat Galtee Rovers/St Pecaun last Sat 23 Feb in New Inn. Final score 0-5 to 0-12

County Minor Football League Division 2 - Well done to Rockwell/Rosegreen who drew with Fr Sheeys in New Inn last Sunday. Final score RR/Rosegreen 4/6 to Fr Sheehys 2/12.
