Burncourt Community Council will hold a 5 Mile Sponsored Leisure Walk in aid of the Community Hall Back Roof Renovation on Sunday, March 3, at 2.30pm starting at the Community Hall. Your support for Community Council projects would be much appreciated.

TIME OUT-HEALING AND MEDITATION

Come along to an introductory night by Marie Wall on healing and meditation on Wednesday, February 27, at 7.30pm in Burncourt Community Hall. If you like what you hear you can sign up for five Wednesday nights.

BRING THEM BACK HOME-THE GATHERING

The emphasis of The Gathering is on the families of the area to bring back their own and extended families to the locality. The Gathering Committee in Burncourt would like to encourage families to extend an invitation to their relations overseas to pay a visit to Burncourt for the weekends of July 13 and 20 for what promises to be a programme of bygone and medieval entertainment. Burncourt Community Council would like to encourage local clubs, organisation and businesses to come on board to plan and take part in The Gathering.

BURNCOURT PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

Burncourt Parent and Toddler Group meet every Wednesday morning from 10.30am to 12.30pm in Burncourt Hall. The following may also be of interest to parents in the area: Paediatric First Aid Course in Duhill Community Hall for two nights Mondays, March 4 and 11, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. PARISH FUNDRAISERS

The first of two parish fundraisers will be on Friday, March 15, in Cahir House Hotel at 9pm. This will be a social dance with a special emphasis on the music of the 60s and 70s remembering the days of the Arcadia ballroom, which was the big venue for so many people from all of South Tipp. Music by Breaking Ice. €10.

The second fundraiser will be an Inspirational Candlelit Concert in St. Mary’s Church, Clogheen on Spy Wednesday, March 27. 8pm. €15. Artists: Trudi Lalor, John Hogan, Paddy O’Brien.
