The Intermediate Hurling team had to give best to Sean Treacy’s in the second round of the County championship. A hat-trick of goals was scored against them in the first half. See Match Report. In the second round of the County championship the Senior footballers will take on Mullinahone this Friday at 7.30pm in Fethard.

JUVENILES: The U12s are now playing as two teams - an U12 and an U11. This means more game time for the players and they all seem to be benefitting. They will play Mullinahone this Friday evening at home.

The U14 footballers had a good win over a young Cahir team assuring them of a Semi Final place and may be good enough for them to top the group

The U16 Football have qualified for the Semi Final against Carrick Davins after playing four matches, winning three and losing one. The Semi Finals which will be played in Monroe on Monday, May 13, 7pm. Please come a give your support to the team on the night.

Kilsheelan girl’s team played Commercials in Clonmel last week. Ann Murphy and her fellow coaches are doing great work with these young girls and good things are expected.


Tennis - The member’s Spring League which was played under a new format this season, concluded with some very close and exciting Finals. In the Men’s “A” Final Gerry Walsh and Michael Martin (subbing for Richard Roche Nagle) overcame Stanley O’Reilly and Noel Murphy while in the “B” section the winners were Barry Cronin and Shane Ryan over Damien Cronin and Padraic O’Reilly. The Ladies “A” section was won by Rose Holohan and Josephine Murphy with Rosie Murphy and Brenda Rowan runners up while the “B” title went to Niamh Scully and Deirdre O’Reilly, who got the better of family partnership Mary and Kerry McElligott in their final.

Club Night - Tuesday evenings have been designated Club nights, when all members can come along, mix and match and enjoy a social game.

Junior Tennis - The first session of coaching, under Tony Mc Carthy, concludes this Thursday. A further session of five evenings will begin on Thursday, May 23. All participating juniors must be Club members.

Outing - This year’s Annual Summer Outing takes place on Saturday June 1st with a visit to the “Cats Laughs” Festival in Kilkenny. Details or book your place with the social secretary.
