Bealtaine Festival at Cahir Library

The Bealtaine Festival is a national programme run throughout May each year in association with Age & Opportunity and all over the county older persons, groups and individuals are actively involved in arts events, workshops and activities. North and South Tipperary Arts Services and Tipperary Libraries are coordinating a festival together to develop a Bealtaine Festival across the whole county, most events are fee and open to the public.

The theme for the 2013 Festival is Grow Happy. At Cahir Library we have a host of events which include a Watercolour Workshop on Thursday, May 9, from 2pm to 4pm. Working with colour with Michelle Seward, on Tuesday, May 14, from 11am to 1pm. This is an open event and admission is free.

On Tuesday, May 21, from 11am to 1pm, Collage Workshop with Michelle Seward. The Wilder Wisdom of Auld Ones will be staged at Cahir Day Care Centre, on Tuesday, May 14, at 11am. This is a prebooked group event.

Internet for beginners at Cahir Library, Tuesdays during May by appointment only. Knitting and crochet at Cahir Library every Friday during May from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Occasion Card making every Monday from 2pm to 4pm and Genealogy Resources with Tipperary Studies, on Thursday, May 23, at 3pm.
