A Vintage Tea Room to support local charities is to open at the Place 4U Cafe at Morton Street, Clonmel.
The room will allow people to step back in time and savour the delights of a vintage tea room, with refreshments hosted by a local fundraising group.
People will enjoy being served tea from a china pot and sampling homemade baking while listening to the strains of the music from that era.
The volunteers will work with local fundraisers to host the vintage tea mornings from 10.30am to 12.30pm on alternate Friday mornings - 31st May, 14th June, 28th June, 12th July and 26th July.
The room will be closed during August and will re-open in September.
Most of the profits will be donated to the fundraisers, while a small portion will cover the cost of running the tea room.
The minimum donation is €5 per adult. The tea room is run entirely by volunteers.
Fundraisers in need of help may call into the cafe in Morton Street or contact the cafe on e-mail, firstname.lastname@example.org
It may also be found on Facebook, place4u vintage tea room.
This initiative will not only support Place4U but also the community’s extended local charities, as all money raised will be kept in the locality.
