Arts Centre launch

The next painting exhibition at the South Tipperary Arts Centre in Nelson Street, Clonmel is a new collection of acrylic paintings, some very quirky, called Down to Earth, by Tony Oakey, which will be officially launched on this Thursday, July 18 at 7.30pm by the Deputy Mayor, Cllr. Gabrielle Egan. All are welcome.

A second Graffiti Art workshop with Tutor Julie, for pre-teens and teens, will take place from Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 2, starting at 11am. Booking is essential as there are just a few places left. Contact the Arts Centre at 052-6127877 for details.

Many thanks are extended to Eric, the gardener with the Borough Council for supplying the Arts Centre with beautiful window boxes, which are now flourishing well over the main door, under the attention of the Arts Centre’s maintenance man Michael.

A medieval mural for Festival Chluain Meala, which runs from August 3-11, will be painted in the Gordon Street car park by Arts Centre members, White Memorial Theatre Fas staff and adults and teens from South Tipperary Art Group (STAG).
