Car valeting unit at The Showgrounds

A new development is being lined up for The Showgrounds Shopping Centre in Clonmel.

Marcus McHale, trading as Fresh Valeting, has been granted planning permission by the Borough Council to construct a car valeting unit at The Showgrounds at Davis Road, Clonmel.

Autism fundraiser

Mary Quinlan is hosting a charity Open Garden event on this Saturday, July 20.

The Open Garden at Priorstown, Kilsheelan, Clonmel, will raise funds for the Sunflower Autism Class.

The event runs from 11am until 5pm.

Afternoon tea will be served and all are welcome.

With the current spell of good weather set to continue, what better way is there to spend a summer’s afternoon.

It’s hoped that this worthy cause will be well supported.

Business exhibition

For its free networking events in August Clonmel Chamber of Commerce will hold a Members Expo at Hotel Minella from 6.15 - 8pm on Tuesday, August 27. Chamber members are invited to take a free trade stand at the event to display marketing material, products or similar.

Family Fun Day

Clonmel Childcare’s Family Fun Day takes place at Clonmel Childcare at Cashel Court, Cashel Road until 4pm on this Sunday, July 21.

Trad Session

The weekly Irish traditional music session performed by Ceolta Feasa at the Clonmel Park Hotel on Thursday week (July 25) will raise funds for the Newcastle community.

The Newcastle night has become a very popular feature of the summer session.

The entertainment is provided by musicians from Comhaltas branches from Powerstown/Lisronagh and Cahir, and dancers from the Kathy McGrath School, Newcastle.

The fun starts at 9pm.

The weekly sessions will continue at the Park Hotel until August 15, every Thursday night, at 9pm.

As this is the year of The Gathering, the group extends a very special welcome to visitors from overseas.

The show comprises a formal stage show and concludes with an informal traditional session, where the audience are encouraged to participate if they wish. The show is produced by Michael Harty and the group is made up of seasoned performers, with new artists joining each year.
