The Cashel Chamber of Commerce has welcomed the Town Council’s decision to allow free Saturday afternoon parking in November and December.
“This is a very positive step in helping Cashel remain competitive,” said Chamber President Sean Laffey. “We realise that parking charges do go towards funding many council services, but when they are too high they become self defeating. This waiving of Saturday parking charges for the final two months of the year will be warmly welcomed by the struggling Cashel retail sector.” Chamber meet at Billy Foley’s Bar, Friar Street, Thursday, October 3, at 6.15pm. On the agenda: Friar Street Lighting Refurbishment; work of the Town Centre Forums.
