The Sean O Keeffe Memorial Honda Run will take place this Sunday May 15 in aid of Special Friends Mitchelstown, local support group for children with special needs – location Mitchelstown Mart. Registration 8.30pm to 10am. Departing 10.30am sharp. Stickers for all bikes on registration. All Hondas 50, 70, 90 and all bikes welcome. Fee E25. Distance 100 miles approx – scenic route on good roads, refreshments on sign in. Lunch half way and barbecue on return.
The Junior Hurlers despite finishing rather well were forced to give way to a better equipped Shanballymore side in the Avondhu-Imokilly Div 1 HL encounter at Shanballymore on Tuesday evening last when they were defeated on a 1-13 to 0-10 scoreline. The locals were short a few players due to upcoming exams.
