CYCLING FOR CHERNOBYL
This year local man, Alan Kennedy is off on his bicycle for Chernobyl. Children Project. The charity cycle he is doing is from Cork to Galway (200km or 120 miles). He hopes to raise funds for Chernobyl http://www.chernobylcycle.com/ While training on the bike is going well so far he needs to get cracking on the fundraising in order to reach his target of €500, as it is less than six weeks to the event. As Alan is not holding any particular fundraising specific night this time around he is hoping to raise all his funds through a web page http://www.mycharity.ie/event/alan_kennedy_cycling/ “Since I joined up to take part in this year’s cycle I really only started looking into Chernobyl and the effects that it has had in the last 25 years and there is no worthier cause in my opinion. In advance I thank everyone who donates whatever amount they can afford and will post a few photos of the event after it happens on my facebook page.”
