First Holy Communion Mass was celebrated by Fr. Connie Kelleher P.P, in St. Mary’s Parish Church, last Sunday. It was a beautiful mass with the children participating in many aspects. The first reading was by Tadgh Whitmore, the responsorial psalm was read by Caitlin McCarthy and Joseph Connors, the second reading by Mikayla Lonergan, the gospel acclamation was sung by David Condon. Children’s prayer before communion was read by Ava-Mai Tobin and the prayer after communion was read by David Condon and Ciara Cliffe. All the seven first holy communion recipients read the prayers of the faithful. We would like to thank the choir and also the parents and the teachers who had their children so well prepared for their big day and congratulations to Joseph, Ava-Mai, David, Mikayla, Caitlin, Tadgh and Ciara.
