I.F.Championship Rd 2,Oola 1-11, Athea 1-5.

Oola reacted well to last weeks defeat with a good win over Athea in a match played in Claughaun on Saturday evening last. Athea started the better and went two points up after just two minutes of play. Oola`s first point came after seven minutes when Pakie Bourke got on the scoresheet but Athea soon restored their two point advantage when Jamie Collins pointed in the 13th minute. Points were traded once again in the 16th and 18th minutes with Conor Ryan getting the Oola score. At this stage Oola were beginning to get on top and a great run upfield by centre back Denis Moloney reduced the lead to a single point. On the very next attack David Stapleton was brought down in the small square and a penalty was awarded which was dispatched to the Athea net by Pakie Bourke to leave the half time score 1-3 to 0-4 in Oola`s favour.
