It was with great sadness that the Old Bridge community heard of the death of Paddy Fitzgerald. Paddy was the last surviving member of the original committee for Edel Quinn Park. He was a valued member of the community and a familiar figure up to a few months ago, walking with his little dog. A great raconteur, he loved to chat about all aspects of the area of which he had great knowledge.
Paddy will be sadly missed by his daughter Helen, son-in-law Sean, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and a large circle of friends.
The following were elected to the committee of the Community Association on Wednesday night last: chairperson, Ken Horne; vice-chairperson, Sandra Thomas; secretary, Mieke Mullyaert; assistant secretary, Mary Walsh; treasurer, Seamus Healy.
