Comeragh College, Carrick-on-Suir’s open night for 6th class students considering enrolling at the school in September takes place next Wednesday, May 18.

Students and their parents can meet all staff members in an informal way and discuss with them the many subjects ,sports and extra curricular activities on offer in Carrick-on-Suir’s only co-educational school.

Work produced by students in subjects such as metalwork, woodwork, home economics, technical graphics, art and science will be on display, as well as project work in many other subjects.

The Comeragh College Choir will perform and visitors, both students and parent, may even get the opportunity to try their hands at new skills.

Comeragh College takes pride in the many sports its offers both boys and girls including hurling, soccer, football, camogie, basketball, badminton, golf, tennis, swimming and more.

The school also runs many educational outings during the year, most notably a continental trip. This year students had a fantastic time in Italy and Switzerland.

Some of the school’s past pupils, who are now pursuing their studies in colleges and universities all over the country, will also available at the open night ot talk about their experiences of Comeragh College and how the education provided by the school has set them on their current career paths.

Door prizes for those attending will include a E100 voucher for New Look and a E100 voucher for Outfield Sports for the wining boy and girl.

The open night runs from 18th May from 6.30 to 8pm.
