Cathal O’Leary and Ellen Ryan of the Management Committee of Halla na Feile nominated Halla na Feile for the ‘Dulux Let’s Colour Project’. Needless to say the Management Committee were delighted with the news that: “Your projects are now approved and the paint orders are being processed”.
Immediately on receipt of the good news, Ellen was in touch with the Volunteer co-ordinator seeking assistance with the painting. In total the Halla will receive 38 5L tins of Dulux Easycare Paint.
This is great and welcome news as it is the policy of the Management Committee to keep a good appearance on Halla na Feile while waiting for the commencement of the New Halla na Feile Project which is to be built at the rear of the existing Halla. In the not too distant future we will see the Halla decked out in ‘Dreamy Truffle, Pomodoro, Soft Blush, Lemon Crush, Sienna and Sweet Damson. Cashel photographer, Michael McDonnell will have to wear sunglasses when he comes to take a photo!
Social dancing continues in the Halla and the next dance will be held on Friday, July 29, when the ever popular Sam O’Doherty will make a welcome return. Dancing from 9 pm to 12 am, teas and sandwiches will be served and a great night’s dancing is assured.
By popular demand the Tuesday evening dancing classes continue for the summer. They run from 8.30pm to 10.45pm and admission, including tuition, is E5.
