Oola Youth club will hold a fundraising field day on Sunday, July 24, in Oola GAA field from 12noon to 4pm. The day will include childrens’ races, egg & spoon, obstacle course, tug-o-war, face painting , side shows and much more. There will also be a raffle on the day. This event is to raise much needed club funds and local support will be much appreciated. Anyone willing to help on the day or with ideas can contact Pauline Cummins on 086-2225123 or any of the club leaders.


Haven is an Irish Charity which was established to send volunteers to Haiti to help rebuild homes following the earthquake in January 2010. Local Volunteer James Doherty travelled to Haiti in April for a week and is due to travel there again this October to continue the work of Haven. James Doherty has organised a Church Gate collection for this weekend. All donations for this worthy cause will be appreciated.

Our under 14 team were well beaten when playing away to Bruff on Wednesday evening last.


Oola 2-9 Kildimo 1-5.

Our under 12 team also took part in a blitz on Saturday last in Oola along with Bruff, Galbally and Cappamore. Some very exciting matches were played before Bruff claimed the John Martin Keogh Cup and Oola the Shield. A special word of thanks to those who provided tea, sandwiches and apple pie on the day.
