The Irish Heart Foundation will hold their annual church gate collection at Masses next weekend, the 23 and 24 July.

The Parish Newsletter is published each week and is available in each of the Churches. Any notices or contributions that any body/organisation wish to have included should have them in the parish office by Thursday, 12 noon. The Parish Office can be contacted on 052 7464408 and is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 1pm. SYMPAHTY

Sincere sympathy is extended to the O’Shea family, Poulatar, following the very sad passing of Jackie O’Shea at the weekend following illness. Jackie’s funeral took place from her parent’s home on Tuesday last 12 July to Ballybacon Church and internment took place in the adjoining cemetery. To her loving parents, Liam and Patricia, sisters Amanda, Tanya and Lisa extended family and friends were extend our sympathies. May she rest in peace!

GENERAL LIAM LYNCH

The annual commemoration in memory of General Liam Lynch will be held at the monument on the Knockmealdown Mountains (via Goatenbridge) this Sunday, 24 July at 2.30pm. The oration will be delivered by Michael Moroney, former National Secretary of Clann na nGael in America. The Liam Lynch National Commemoration Association is Chaired by Sean Nugent and its Secretary is Kitty Harney.
