Gillian Quinn took her second training session on Monday 11th last and delivered the news that we were unsuccessful in the swimming challenge v Kileshin at the Aquatic Centre, Dublin earlier in the day. Full credit to the four lads who took part, Dave Hyland, Pat Cole, Simon Hickey and Glen Walsh for having a good go at it but unfortunately came up short and so we have to play away when the date is announced. To ease the disappointment Niall arrived and spoke to the lads and whatever he said worked and everything was hunky dory again.
Despite what people may think, Gillian is a fitness instructor in her own right and has adapted well to GAA coaching and took the session on her own unaided. Details of the match time and date have yet to be announced and the next session is scheduled for early August. Fundraising for the occasion is ongoing and all support will be greatly acknowledged and appreciated.
