This is the Year of Craft and Volunteering, and already the ICA knitting campaign in aid of the Heart Foundation ‘Warming Irish Hearts’ is heating up.

The campaign’s launch day is November 5 and already members have completed their packs of hats, scarfs and mits, and these will be sold in Kilkenny Shops across the country.

More members have volunteered to knit for this worthy cause.

Wednesday nights have been allocated for crafts and last Wednesday was a hive of activity.

Some members made a start on their decoupage, others started their knitting patterns and two members completed crystal necklaces.

Seven members will attend the Federation Meeting in Littleton on September 29 at which ICA national secretary Liz Wall and CEO John O’Callaghan will attend.
