Santa Claus is coming to Clonmel’s town centre this weekend. The big man in red will be meeting children at the Main Guard from 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon, 10th.
Santa’s visit is part of the Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas in Clonmel initiative to encourage people to shop locally and to support local jobs.
“Saturday promises to be a great day. We will have face painting from 2pm, balloon modelling, treats and giveaways on the day for all the children. We are also delighted that Paul Walsh from rock band Royseven will be joining Santa, Mayor Darren Ryan and myself in turning on the Christmas lights in Clonmel at 4.30pm”, said Clonmel Chamber President Tina Mulhearne.
“There will be plenty of surprises and giveaways on the day and best of all we are able to offer all of this for free, thanks to the support we have received from Clonmel Borough Council and South Tipperary County Council” she added.
The Christmas in Clonmel festivities will start at 2pm and will conclude at approximately 5pm. Parking in all Clonmel Borough Council-owned car parks will be free on the day and each Saturday throughout December.
