A church gate collection will take place at masses in Powerstown and Lisronagh churches next weekend. Your support for this so worthy cause would be greatly appreciated.

Our monthly meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 2 at 8p.m. Benita Leahy from Woodies will give a talk on all gardening matters appropriate to this time of year. Plans will be made for our annual Summer outing. All members are requested to attend.

Our minor footballer took on St Joseph’s, Philip Quirke opened the scoring with a goal, with some great points from Kevin O’Donnell, Brian Norris, Philip Quirke, Final score Moyle Rovers 1-10 St Joseph’s 0-6

Our Intermediate footballers took on Fr Sheehys in the first round of the south championship. We had points from Shane Foley, James Williams, Craig Condon & Cathal Quigley in the first half. It was David McGrath who converted a penalty in the second half, Cathal Quigley added a second goal while Shane Foley, James Williams, Kevin Morrissey and David McGrath added 4 more points. Final score Moyle Rovers 2-14 Fr Sheehys 1-6

Our Intermediate Hurlers took on Cahir in the first round of the south championship. We had points from Sean Carey, Daniel Lyne, Cathal Quigley and Peter Acheson. It was in the closing minutes that Sean Carey got a goal, while Sean Keating, Martin Dunne, Kevin O’Donnell, Sean Carey, & Ciaran lorigan added points to leave the final score Moyle Rovers 1-17 Cahir 1-10.
