We would like to express our sympathies to the O’Neill family on the sad loss of a loving husband and father Jimmy O’Neill who died on April 3rd after a long illness which he bore so bravely. Jimmy who loved the outdoor life will be dearly missed by all who knew him, our sympaties to his loving wife Bridget, his daughters Ann, Carmel, Claire, his sons Liam, David, Mickey and Mickey P. Removal took place to the Church of the Assumption, Ballyporeen. and after requiem mass Jimmy was laid to rest in St. Mary’s cemetery. May he rest in peace.

Our sympathies also go to Thomas, Maurice and Ann Marie O’Flynn on the death of their aunt Mary O’Brien, Ballylanders. Co. Limerick. who passed away on April 14. Interment took place in Ballinacourty cemetery, Aherlow. May she rest in peace;

We extend our sympathy to the O’Donoghue family, Curraleigh, on the death of Alice O’Donoghue. Goatstown, Dublin and formerly of Curraleigh, Ballyporeen, who died on March 23rd. After requiem mass on Saturday in Ballyporeen, Alice’s ashes were interred in St, Mary’s cemetery. May she rest in peace. She is survived by her brothers Pat and Liam, her sisters Joan and Helen, brother in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Irish Autism Society

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our recent church gate collection, the amount raised was €510, thanks to all who helped out on the tables.

Sunderland trip

The best of luck to our celebrity bainisteoir team who are Sunderland-bound this weekend to see how it all happens accross the water - the team will be accompanied by their trainers and captain and selectors so we wish them a safe and enjoyable journey.

Fundraising walk

On Sunday next April 29th a 10km walk will take place, you are guaranteed spectacular views and sights of the countryside. This event is jointly organised by the Finn family [Araglen] and the Mills family [Ballyduff]. The walk will begin and end at Doon crossroads so if you are feeling energetic and would like to support this very worthy cause with all proceeds going to the Irish Cancer Society, please come along, we look forward to seeing you on the day.
