Sympathy.

There was deep sadness in the community at the news of the death of Eilish Keating. Eilish was predeceased by her husband Andrew and her son PJ. A lady of deep faith, Eilish served as Eucharistic Minister in Burncourt Church, a service she often spoke of as being a privilege for her. A caring neighbour, Eilish went about her life with a quiet dignity and a sense of style.

Eilish was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, cherishing her children and her dear granddaughters Emma and Sarah, all of whom will miss her so much. Our sincere sympathy to her children Deirdre, Ollie, Steph, Kate and Breda, sisters Kathleen and Breda, daughter-in-law Margaret, son-in-law Sean, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. May Eilish’s soul rest in peace in the comfort of God’s Heavenly Kingdom.

Brian Borus Camogie:

A reminder to all Burncourt members of Brian Borus that training is now taking place in the GAA pitch in Ballylooby on Tuesdays.

U8/10 - 6.45 to 7.00

U12/14s - 7.00 - 8.00 Our U14’s played Cashel last Friday night. This was a very strong Cashel team and our girls’ first game of the championship. Unfortunately the Cashel team proved to be too strong for our girls. Well done to Linda Murphy and Caoimhe Ryan who played in the Go Games in the Ragg last Sunday at half time of the Senior Camogie game between Tipperary and Wexford. Brian Borus Football: Our U12s played a very strong Mullinahone team last Thursday night. This was our first championship game and all girls should make the effort to turn up to training if they want to progress in this championship. Our U14s played Ardfinnan on Tuesday night and had a great win. Well done girls. The next game is against Moyle Rovers. Our U16s face Aherlow in the County B Semi Final in New Inn on Sunday. Best of luck to them.
