The Club would like to thank the sponsors for the awards Kevin Roche, Willie Tarrant, Noel Brown, Shane Kelly and Paul O’Connor and Eamon O’Heney for the use of his premises.

On a sad note we would like to pass on the condolences of the whole Club both Schoolboy and Junior to the Halpin family on the passing of Monsie Halpin, the father of our Junior Manager John. Monsie had been following Bansha Celtic since it was founded and was at most home games. Not only was he a supporter but also a gentleman and will be sadly missed. RIP.

GALTEE ROVERS ST PECAUN’S

Juveniles

There is lots of hurling action for our juveniles at the moment with matches for our under 12 A and B teams in their leagues while our under 14 hurlers are also up and running. Last Monday night our under 12 hurlers showed lots of class when accounting for Lattin in Round 3. Unfortunately Lady Luck refuses to shine on our B team and we lost out by a single score once again to Éire Óg. During the past week our under 14 hurlers recorded a good win over Lattin/Cullen and are now back in the points race for a semi-final spot.

Hurlers

No game for our minor hurlers last week but we can expect plenty minor hurling in the coming weeks while our long awaited intermediate hurling clash with Sean Treacy’s is fixed for this Saturday night in Cappa. This is a vital game against our Combo colleagues and we will have to be at our best to get a result here.

Football

Well done to Andrew Morrissey and Conor O’Sullivan who are both on the Tipp senior football squad who are now preparing for Round 2 of the qualifiers. Last Saturday night we had a stirring performance against the Faithful county and hopefully we can repeat the performance against our next opponents.

CHURCH NOTICES
