Lots of supporters travelled to Grangemockler on Tuesday night last for the U14 South final against Carrick Swan. Carrick Swan played excellent hurling for a long time and had Mullinahone on the back foot. It was only in the last quarter that Mullinahone got on top with a fine goal from sub Dylan St John and some great pointed frees from Eoin Brett pushing the team over the line. The final score was Mullinahone 3-14, Carrick Swan 3-7.

Team which started for Mullinahone was: Cathal Kavanagh, Aaron Byrne, Enda Keane, Oisin Drennan, Stephen Reilly, Michael Cody, Bailie Grace, Oisin McNamara, Liam Fennelly, Sean Fitzgerald, Darragh Kelly, Eoin Brett, Colin Shelly, Conor Croke, Colin Mockler. Subs: Dylan St John, David Whelan, Dale Crowley, Andrew Gleeson, Paul Houlihan, Keith Byrne, Conor Dyson and Conor O’Halloran. Manager of the team was Declan McNamara while his selectors were Ray Cody, Pat Fitzgerald, Bill Tobin and John Leahy.

Unfortunately all good things come to an end and the wheel came off our U14 wagon on Saturday last in the Ragg when despite a good start we went down to Kildangan in the County semi-final.

Our U12s are in action next Saturday in Clogheen in the Go Games finals. Good luck to them and congratulations to our U14s and their mentors on doing so well.
