Tom was by far one of our most popular and hardworking fundraisers associated with Cahir Lions Club. Every year he travelled to Spanish Point, with the Club President, to visit the Senior Citizens from Cahir and Cashel district. Helping with our annual Lions Club play, Tom played no small part in the various street collections and bag packs for Lions Club. He really came into his own at the fashion shows were he was one of the top male models, always getting a huge cheer as soon as he hit the catwalk. The Lions Club meetings were a tonic when he attended, with his ready wit and quick repartee.

Following Requiem Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Tom was interred in Kilaldriffe Graveyard on Thursday, September 6. He will be sadly missed by all those who came in contact with him and will be remembered for a long time to come. His popularity was mirrored in the myriads of people who came to pay their respects and say their goodbyes to this gentleman.

The Lions Club members from near and far offer their deepest sympathy to Toms family of whom he was very proud. “We have a few memories to carry us through the long night, The clock striking midnight, Yesterdays gone, and there’s no tomorrow in sight.”
