Oola Folk Group would like to invite new members to join this Autumn. All ages welcome singers and musicians. Meeting for practice on Wednesday nights at 8pm in the Church Sacristy.


Youth club takes place on a Saturday evening children (eight to 12 years) from 6pm to 7pm, teens (first year to 18) from 7pm to 8.30pm in Oola Community Centre. Anyone wishing to get involved should contact PRO Vivienne Dee or any of the leadership team.


Every Tuesday in Oola at 8.30pm, all are welcome.


County IFC Quarter Final. Oola 2-7, St Marys/Sean Finns 1-14.

Oola exited this years IFC after a very poor first half performance which saw them trail by ten points at the half time break 1-10 to 0-3. Oola did show something like their through form in the second half and did reduced the lead to a three point margin with eight minutes remaining. Oola kicked a couple of bad wides when maybe better options were available. St. Marys rallied again getting the final point in injury time for a four point winning margin.

U16 Girls B Final, Oola 2-5 Mungret 3-8.

U 16 Boys Oola 1-14 Crecora 0-6.

DRAW: The Draw for the All-Ireland hurling tickets took place on last Friday with the lucky winner being Seamus McKenna from Doon.The Members ticket was won by Willie O`Mahoney Oola


A presentation from Oola GAA Club to Mr Mathew Kennedy on behalf of the Alzheimers Society took place on Thursday evening last, September 6, at the Club House. A cheque to the value of €3,400 from the proceeds of the Family Fun Day was handed over by Chairman Peter Gardiner. Mr Kennedy expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Society and thanked all involved for their contribution to this worthy cause.


The Julie Leahy Memorial football blitz for girls U12 and 14.will take place in Oola on Saturday, September 15

A public meeting will be held in Oola Community centre on Thursday, September 13, at 8pm, to discuss the proposed closure of Oola Garda Station.
