Clonmel Chamber of Commerce is again highlighting its hugely popular Clonmel Shopping Vouchers in the approach to December 25th. The scheme, in operation since 2009, now has almost 100 stores in the town accepting the vouchers and the Chamber are keen to bring new retailers on board.
“The aim of the vouchers has always been to keep money in the town. Our vouchers are now accepted in almost four times as many stores as some of our competitors. Every year we sell a significant amount of Clonmel Shopping Vouchers and we hope that this year will be no different. Therefore we want to bring more shops, restaurants and cafes on board so that people can redeem vouchers with local businesses”, said Chamber CEO Brian Cleary.
The Chamber operates an easy sign-up system. Businesses only pay a 3% redemption fee against vouchers when they return them to the Chamber and the redemption fees are used to print more vouchers, keeping money in the local economy.
Businesses wishing to sign up for the scheme should contact Clonmel Chamber on 052-6126500.
