New Inn/Rosegreen Basketball club are holding their annual table quiz in Barron’s Pub, New Inn, this Saturday, February 2, at 8.30pm. €30 per table of four. Music to follow. All are welcome. As it is envisaged that this is the only fundraiser we will hold this year, the support of all parents would be very much appreciated and also if every club in the parish would send at least one team. Training continues each Tuesday night in Rockwell College Sports Hall. Six to 10 years from 7pm to 8pm. 11 to 13 years from 8pm to 9pm. For further information please contact 0864558168.

NEW INN/ROSEGREEN BASKETBALL CLUB

Played a blitz in Thurles Presentation. Teams were Knights (Thurles), St. Ann’s (Tipperary town), Glenbeigh (Kerry) and New Inn / Rosegreen. The U11s won their blitz. U13 played very well. Players: Kevin, Ethan, Kate and Aoibhe Gayson Molloy, Anna and Tom Downey, Mark Casey, Conor O’Brien, Davina Ryan, Mary Louise O’Rourke and Rebecca Ryan.

KNOCKGRAFFON COURSING CLUB

Would like to wish the “Best of Luck” to Woodenstown Twin, Mr Big and New Inn Wonder owned by the three syndicates from the parish that have qualified for the Derby and Oaks in Powerstown coursing next week. The syndicates are headed by Ciaran Flanagan, John Cooney and Shari-Anne O’Donnell.

LES MISERABLES - FR MATHEW PLAYERS

Fr Mathew Players Present - Les Miserables, A Play in 2 acts. This year the Fr Mathews were delighted to welcome many news faces, coupled with all of your favourites, they are dying to hit the stage with Tim Kelly’s adaptation of the novel by Victor Hugo. They will perform the stage play of the classic “Les Miserables”, in the Community Centre from Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 February. KNOCKGRAFFON OPEN COURSING CLUB

Ran a very successful two-day meeting on January 19/20. “Droopy’s Jim” owned by Tomas O’Murchu, Tipp Town won the Vincent Scully Memorial Cup beating a very gallant runner up in the final “Key Shore” owned by Mattie Ryan and Mrs E Smith. The Interclub stake which was made up of eight English and eight Irish dogs was won by the very popular “Don Corleone” owned by the “Cuirt on Phuca” syndicate from Johnstown, Kilkenny beating “Knockillon Sea” owned by Don Moloney, Knockgraffon. Knockgraffon Open Coursing Club would like to thank everyone who helped out in any way to make the weekend the success that it was. They would especially like to thank Pat English and Tipperay County Council who did at great job for us at such short notice. To our landowners, our faithful beaters who come out Sunday after Sunday to help us, our kind neighbours who provided car park facilities, our sincere gratitude to you all.

ROCKWELL ROVERS

Lotto draw was held in Ollie’s Bar, New Inn, on Tuesday, January 22. The numbers were 10, 22, 25 and 28 drawn by Breeda Doyle. Lucky Dip prizes: Amy Quinn, Mary Heaney, Kevin Barron and Jack Kinnahan. Sellers prizes: Ml O’Donnell, Colm Heaney, Sandra English and Ollies Bar. This week’s Lotto was held in The Rovers Inn on Tuesday, January 29. Next week’s lotto to be held in Barron’s Pub on Tuesday, February 5, at 9.30pm. Best of luck to all involved. Training - U6/ U8/ U10/ U12 - Football/ Hurling training will start next Monday, February 4, in Rockwell College for six weeks. Players will be notified by text. All Weather Pitch from 7pm to 8pm for U6, U8, U10 and U12 age groups. Charge €3 for 1 child, €4 for 2, €5 thereafter to cover the cost of the lights on the all weather pitch. Mouth guards, Astro turf boots or runners needed. No band or hoops on hurleys. Membership is now due, €10 per child.

Mouth Guards - All football players up to and including Minor will have to wear mouth guards while training and playing matches from January 1.

Membership & Registration Night - to take place on Friday, February 8, in the clubhouse from 7pm to 9pm for both juvenille and senior club members.
