THE LATE MICHAEL ANGLIM MCC

The death occurred of Michael Anglim MCC, Ballylaffin, on Wednesday, January 23. Michael was Fianna Fail member of South Tipperary County Council representing the Cahir Area for many years. There was a large attendance at his removal and requiem mass. Members of Fianna Fail representing South Tipperary area provided a guard of honour on his funeral arrival to Duhill Church. A special meeting of South Tipperary County Council was held on Friday, January 25, in Duhill Community Hall. It is customary to hold a special meeting for fellow councillors to pay respects to their deceased colleague. It was a sad and also a unique occasion for Duhill. There was a very large attendance at this meeting, shows the high esteem in which Michael was held! Most of the councillors were in attendance, the County Manager, Directors of Services, members of various committees of which Michael was a member, past members of the Council were also in invited and members of Ardfinnan Cumann of which Michael was a long time member and members of his family.

Michael was laid to rest in Duhill Cemetery after his requiem mass. We extend our sympathy to his wife Bridie, son Micheal, daughters, Mary, Joan, Rosaleen and Valerie, sons in-law, grandchildren, relatives and many friends.

The death also occurred of Michael (Mick Keating) Coldevane, Clogheen and late of Ballyhist, Ardfinnan. We extend our sympathy to his wife Betty, sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, relatives and friends. Mick was laid to rest in Duhill Cemetery after his requiem mass on Sunday, January 27. May they rest in peace.

BALLYLOOBY/LADIES CLUB

The Ladies Club will hold their monthly meeting in Ballylooby Community Hall on February 6, at 7.15pm. New members are always welcome The Ladies Club have invited Dr. Bernadette McCarthy, Medical Eye Specialist, to give a talk in Ballylooby Community Hall on Wednesday, February 6, at 8pm Admission €5. The Card Drive continues every Monday night at 8.30pm in Ballylooby Community Hall followed by light refreshments.

BALLYLOOBY PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

The Parent and Toddler Group will meet in the hall on February 4, with a visit from Jayne, Kindermusik, Music Learning. The following week on Monday, February 11, is mid-term break.
