CAMOGIE

CAMOGIE

On Saturday, January 19, Ballybacon Grange Camogie committee was formed. Chairperson Grainne Burke, Secretary Rosealeen O’Leary, Vice Secretary and PRO Jean O’Gorman.

Last year Grainne and Yvonne started a camogie club. It started out with a few girls and before the camogie season was finished we had 19 girls and a winning under 8s team. The girls thrived under the training and dedication of Grainne and Yvonne. They went on to win all of their games except one!

This year we want our club to grow bigger and better. We are hoping to form an u8s, u10s and u12s team this year. We also need more help so any of you locally who would like to get involved we would be delighted.

We now have a Facebook page Ballybacon /Grange Camogie Club. Please check it out and that way you can keep up to date with training times and dates and our general progress. We will be visiting the schools soon with more info.

ARDFINNAN NATIONAL SCHOOL ENROLMENT

We would ask that parents/guardians who intend enrolling their children in Ardfinnan N.S. for the school year commencing September 2013 to contact the school in person or by phoning (052)7466917 with the relevant details before Friday, March 8.
