FORTY HOURS ADORATION

There will be 40 hours adoration at Mitchelstown Parish Church beginning on Thursday, May 5 with Mass and it will conclude with Saturday evening Mass on May 7. There will be a rota of the various stations areas in the parish to cover the 40 hours. Last year was the first year of this 40 hours adoration in Mitchelstown and it was a great success. All are welcome.

DIVINE MERCY NOVENA

The Divine Mercy Novena in Mitchelstown commenced on Good Friday and will finish this Sunday, May l. There will be devotions in the Parish Church from 2pm to 5pm this Sunday.

The death occurred on April 19 at Cork University Hospital of Mary Walsh (nee Kelly), The Treasure Chest, Lr Cork St Mitchelstown and Clonmel Road, Mitchelstown. The late Mary was well known in the local area. Her popularity was borne out in the very large attendance at the removal on Saturday evening from O’Brien’s Funeral Home, Mitchelstown to the local Parish Church and also at the Mass and burial on Sunday. Interment took place to Brigown New Cemetery. To her sons John, Maurice, Eddie, daughters Claire (O’Connell) Rosemary, Ned, sons in law Milo and Brendan, daughters in law Cathy, Margaret and Lorraine brothers, sisters, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE NOREEN CAPLICE,

The death occurred on April 20 at Marymount Hospice Cork of Noreen Caplice, Kildorrery. The late Noreen had been ill for a while. There was a large attendance at the removal from her residence Main St, Kildorrery on Thursday evening to St Bartholomew’s Church and also at the Funeral Liturgy on Good Friday followed by burial to Molagga Cemetery. To her brother, sisters, brother in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE ANN O’SULLIVAN

The death occurred peacefully after a brief illness on April 22 at her home 1 Beechwood Grove, Mitchelstown of Ann O’Sullivan (nee (Burke) The late Ann was in her mid 50s and was well known locally. She was employed at Galtee Foods for many years. Her popularity was borne out in the very large and representative attendance at the removal on Sunday evening from the family home to the Parish Church and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Monday. Interment took place to the adjoining cemetery. Top her husband Mattie, mother Bridget, brother Eddie, sister Margaret (Quigley) brother sin law, sisters in law, goddaughter Annette Collins, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

The death occurred on April 22 peacefully at the Mercy Hospital Cork of Mary O’Sullivan (nee Roche), 4 Edward St. Mitchelstown. The late Mary in her early 50s had been ill for a while. There was a large attendance at the removal from her sister Karen’s residence Kilglass on Sunday for 12md Mass at Mitchelstown Parish Church on Monday. Interment took place to the adjoining cemetery. The death occurred on April 21 at South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel of of Mary Ryan (nee O’Donnell), Galtee View, Ballyporeen and formerly Upper Skeheen, Mitchelstown. The late Mary was predeceased by her husband Maurice. She was well known locally being a member of the farming community. There was a large attendance at the removal on Saturday evening from O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Kilbehenny to the Church of the Assumption, Ballyporeen and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Sunday.
