On Friday, May 6 after 7.30 mass in Ballylooby church, the members are having a meal in The Hermitage, Clogheen. Non members are especially welcome; names can be given to Helena Ryan or any club member or at their previous meeting on May 4th. .

Day Trip on the Shannon/Lough Derg. On Wednesday, June 1 before the summer recess club members are taking a cruise on the Ku-ee-tu Water bus on Ireland’s pleasure lake, Lough Derg. This outing is open to everybody who might like to travel and the cost of this inclusive trip is €84.and will be collected on May 6th or as soon as possible.
Juvenile GAA Card Drive.
Cards continue on Monday nights at 8.30 followed by light refreshments profits go towards the Juvenile GAA club. Results for Monday 18th April. First prize with twelve games: Kathleen Corbett and Joan Tobin. Second prize: Eleanor English and Annette Morrissey. Lucky Table: Paudie Hartigan and Larry Fitzgerald Duhill Hall 45 Drive.
The net card drive will be held on May 1st in Duhill Hall at 8.30pm. Profits go towards the up-keep of the hall. Good Friday nights draw was cancelled as a mark of respect to the Moloney family on the death of Bridie who attended many local drives up till recent years
South Tipperary Hospice Tractor Run
The Annual South Tipp Tractor Run Ardfinnan/Ballybacon/Grange Branch of South Tipp Hospice will hold their Annual event in just under two weeks Sunday 8th May commencing at mid-day in The Green Ardfinnan. This has now become a huge fundraiser for the Hospice and as well as the tractors, there will be many events on the green including tug-a-war, teas and refreshments in the hall and music on the Green. A day out for all the family in support of this very worthy cause.
Kilos for Kids/Crumlin Hospital Maureen Burke would like to thank everybody who supported and baked for the Coffee morning held in Ballylooby last Sunday. The amount raised was €548.
Duhill Community Centre AGM
The Annual General Meeting of Duhill Community Council will be held this Wednesday at 8pm in Duhill Hall. All are welcome and the committee would especially encourage new members to attend as there are many young people living in the area who might like to come along.
Sympathy Sympathy is extended to Bill Moloney and family on the death of Bridie (Nee O’Donnell), Duhill, Castlegrace. Bridie was laid to rest in the family plot in Duhill Cemetery after requiem mass on Easter Monday. (May she rest in peace)
GAA Coaching Course
Following the development of our excellent facilities, the club has now set about developing our expertise within the club in developing our young players and to this end Ballylooby-Castlegrace GAA club will be holding a foundation coaching course in the club on Saturday May 7. The course will run from 9:30am to 3:30pm and anyone who has an interest in getting involved with any GAA team in the parish is welcome to attend. Ballylooby Castlegrace competed well in this game while St Pats had the better of the exchanges in the first half Ballylooby came out much more determined in seond half and only went down in the end by four points.

This was the third meeting of these two sides this season and there was nothing to seperate them so there was a lot at stake for both teams and again the sides couldn’t be separated and the game ended all square at ninteen points each.
