Congrats to our first four queens - Melissa Cope New Inn, Jacqueline Walsh Bansha, Megan Perdue Cashel and Leah Hall Cashel. Festival Bingo on Thursday, May 30, GAA Hall at 8.30pm. “Gathering Reunion” of the winning west final teams in Senior Hurling from 40 years ago on Saturday, June 1. Sean nos dancing workshop in the GAA Hall on Saturday, June 1. Sean Nos from 11am to 12.30pm and set dancing from 2pm to 4pm. Run by world dancing champion and Bru Boru dancer Michael Cooney. On Friday, May 31, The Cornerstone Bar will hold Golden’s first ever Slave Auction. Anyone interested in “Car boot Sales” will be delighted to know we are having one on Saturday, June 1. Golden/Kilfeacle GAA Club first ever “wheel barrow race” in the village on Saturday, May 31, at 8pm. Golden/Kilfeacle Juvenile GAA Club are organising the kiddies events on Saturday, June 1, from 3pm to 5pm in the GAA Hall. Don’t forget our sports and family day on Sunday, June 2.
