On Sunday, April 14, there will be a Tractor, Car and Vintage Run from T.O. Park Labamallogga. Start at 12 noon.

THE LATE PADDY FITZGERALD

The death occurred on April lst of Paddy Fitzgerald, Gurteenatarriffe, Mitchelstown, at Cork University Hospital unexpectedly. The late Paddy was very well known locally having worked at Royal Hotel and later at Jackie O’Brien’s Bar Lower Cork St for many years. His popularity was borne out in the large and represented attendance at the removal on Wednesday night from O’Brien’s Funeral Home to the local Parish Church and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Thursday. Interment took place to the adjoining cemetery. To his sister Sr. Phillip (Maura, South Africa) brother in law Jim, nephew John, niece Helen, grandnephew, grandniece, relatives, neighbours and friends our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE ROBERT DWANE

The death occurred unexpectedly but peacefully at Cork University Hospital, on March 27, of Robert (Bob) Dwane, Ballinamona, Shanballymore. The late Bob was in his mid 40s and became ill just a couple of days before his death. He was very well known in GAA circles and was Vice Chairman of Shanballymore at the time of his untimely death. His popularity was borne out in the very large and represented attendance at the removal on Monday night from Hannon’s Funeral Doneraile to the Church of Christ the King Shanballymore and also at the Requiem Mass on Tuesday. Cremation took place at the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy. To his sister Mary, daughter Shauna, grandaunts, granduncles, brother Eamonn, sister Ellen (O’Driscoll), brother in law J.J., Aisling, Brian and Brian’s fiance Georgina, uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and a large circle of friends our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE PHYLLIS JOYCE

The death occurred on April 4, peacefully after an illness bravely borne, at South Infirmary Hospital Cork, of Philomena (Phyllis) Joyce SRN (Nee Jordan), Corracunna, Mitchelstown, and formerly of St. Patrick’s Place, Kanturk. The late Phyllis was well known in the Mitchelstown and surrounding areas. Her popularity being borne out in the large and represented attendance at the Parish Church Mitchelstown on Sunday evening for the arrival of the remains. There was also a large attendance at the Requiem Mass on Monday followed by private cremation. To her husband Maurice, sons Padraigh, Kevin, daughters Juliette, Jacinta, daughter in law Valerie, grand children Gavin, Fionn, Oisin and Adam. Sadly missed by her loving family sisters Pauline, Marie, Theresa and Sheila, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends our sincere sympathy.
