The John Hickey Memorial Cup was played at Dualla community field over two weekends recently.

Two semi finals were held on July 31 and the third and fourth place playoff, and the final on August 7.

The four teams were involved in the Dualla FC, Cashel Town B, Redmondstown FC and Clerihan FC.

The final was contested between Cashel Town B and Redmondstown, with Cashel town B winning the match 2-0.

The winning Captain was William Fitzelle and he lifted the first annual John Hickey Memorial Cup.

A total of €1,136 was raised for two charities as a result of the matches, The South Tipperary Hospice and C.A.R.E. Cancer Centre Clonmel. A big thank you to all those who supported.

Organisers, including family and friends of the late John Hickey, look forward to seeing you all again next year for another successful tournament.
